During my time in McLeod Gang, I formed a bond with a young Tibetan local who recounted his escape from the Chinese invasion in Tibet. Forced into exile, he shared parts of his life story with me before we had lunch together. Afterwards, he kindly gave me a ride on his motorcycle to the bus station, offering his well wishes and protection for my onward journey. As a farewell gesture, he draped a white cloth over my shoulders, touched foreheads with me, and bid me goodbye.
