Many adventurers visit for trekking, skiing, rafting, and climbing. My preference is to go snowboarding.
Is it possible? Yes, it is!
For the first time, I observed magnificent and robust Yaks passing by. These long-haired bovines, known as Bos grunniens, can be seen in the Himalayan region, the Tibet plateau, and even as far as Mongolia and Russia. The sight of the yak caught my attention, prompting me to arrange my own transportation to the station.
Equipped with my snow gear, I boarded the first and only lift to the mountain to experience the fresh snow. The weather was favorable, with clear skies on a sunny day. The Rohtang, situated 51 km from Manali, continues to be a breathtaking location in the Kullu Region.
The ski slopes are not flattened, and the descent to the valley was quite an experience. Despite this, it was amusing and special to have the chance to treat myself and spend a day in the snow.
