Embarking on the scenic bus ride from Dharamsala to Manali is a truly immersive experience that allows you to witness the breathtaking landscapes of the Himalayan region. The journey, spanning around 8 hours, takes you through mountain roads, valleys, and charming villages, offering glimpses of local life along the way.

As I settle into my seat, cocooned in my cozy sleeping bag, I find warmth and listen to the rhythmic hum of the bus engine and the occasional chatter of fellow travelers. The chilly mountain air outside contrasts with the warmth within, creating a sense of serenity and anticipation for the adventures that lie ahead in Manali.

Upon reaching Manali, a small town nestled in the Himalayas, I am awaken by the tentation to try fresh prepared food from the local sellers. Eager to satiate my hunger, I treat myself to a delicious egg sandwich, perfectly complemented by a steaming cup of chai tea that warms me to the core.

After the satisfying meal, I find a moment of quiet to unwind and recharge, reflecting on the journey thus far and the wonders that await in this picturesque mountain retreat. The tranquil surroundings of Manali provide the perfect backdrop for relaxation, allowing me to fully appreciate the beauty and tranquility of the Himalayan landscape.

Today is a day immersed in the captivating charm of Manali, a scenic town surrounded by the stunning beauty of the Himalayas. Manali is a place where time seems to stand still, allowing me to immerse myself in the natural beauty that surrounds me. The highs of the mountains and the verdant valleys that stretch out before me create a range of sights and sounds. Each corner of this town is a testament to the wonders of nature, inviting me to explore and discover its hidden streets.

As I wander through the alleys of Manali, I am captivated by the unique blend of tradition and modernity that defines this town. From old temples and cafes to bustling markets and vibrant art shops, Manali offers a diverse range of experiences.

Today's adventure in Manali promises to be a journey of discovery and delight, as I embrace the magic of Manali and let its beauty captivate my heart. This day created memories that will last a lifetime.

Many adventurers visit for trekking, skiing, rafting, and climbing. My preference is to go snowboarding.

Is it possible? Yes, it is!

For the first time, I observed magnificent and robust Yaks passing by. These long-haired bovines, known as Bos grunniens, can be seen in the Himalayan region, the Tibet plateau, and even as far as Mongolia and Russia. The sight of the yak caught my attention, prompting me to arrange my own transportation to the station.

Equipped with my snow gear, I boarded the first and only lift to the mountain to experience the fresh snow. The weather was favorable, with clear skies on a sunny day. The Rohtang, situated 51 km from Manali, continues to be a breathtaking location in the Kullu Region.

The ski slopes are not flattened, and the descent to the valley was quite an experience. Despite this, it was amusing and special to have the chance to treat myself and spend a day in the snow.
