The outcomes in life are a direct result of the situations you encounter and how you choose to respond to them. Your emotional state sets the tone for the rest of the day. Upon waking up, do you pause to check in with your body? Do you practice positive self-affirmations? Investing just a few minutes in these practices can significantly impact the course of your entire day!
Healing begins as soon as you wake up to a new day. It's crucial to carefully assess both your emotional and physical well-being. This will prepare you to confront reality with greater clarity.
How do you respond to adversity in life?
Are you continuously experiencing the same problems repeatedly?
What is your response to these environmental stimuli? How do you address them?
Do you rush to the bar instinctively and start toxifying yourself?
Do you call your mother to leach out on her? or your friend?
Do you ignore the issue and play computer games to occupy your mind?
What is it that you do? Do you have an addiction? See if you can think about the things you automatically do and take note of it, see what you can change or improve to feel better without using any addictive products. Sometimes we just react in certain ways without even knowing that we are anxious or stressed. Sometimes the simple thing of taking a break and sitting still, to breathe and meditate will transform your whole state of being.
By practicing breathing techniques and meditation, you can train your mind to calm down emotional reactions. Developing healthy habits is the key to initiating the healing process within yourself. This will not only benefit you but also those around you. Moreover, you will find it easier to navigate life's challenges by responding to situations in a more constructive way rather than simply reacting to them.
It is within your control to manage your emotions and how you react to life. Reflect on your inner self - do you find peace or turmoil? Attaining inner peace is a significant achievement in life. While feeling peaceful may be challenging, everyone has the ability to strive for harmony and cultivate a tranquil spirit within themselves.
If you find that using breathing techniques is beneficial, consider checking out my online course for guidance on developing new patterns within yourself. This can lead to personal growth and a greater sense of peace.
QUOTE: “Peace is the result of retraining your mind, to process life as it is, rather than as you think it should be.” —Wayne W. Dye (Motivational speaker).
It is important to acknowledge that you have the ability to store your experiences on both emotional and physical levels. Your responsibility lies in how you choose to react to these experiences and in learning how to confront and resolve any associated issues. Therefore, it is crucial to observe your reactions whenever something occurs. Take charge of your inner self, cultivate feelings of calmness and peace daily and whenever possible. Over time, this practice will alter your subconscious patterns and behavioral responses.
Emotionally, you may find yourself trapped by your feelings, holding onto them and causing obstacles. When faced with negativity, you may experience depression, heightened anger, aggression, or lack of respect. These reactions happen instinctively because they are ingrained in you. However, there is no need to fret, as you can work on altering this pattern of behavior.
Physically, you may find yourself tempted to use substances like drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, unhealthy food, and sugar excessively. It's important to recognize this behavior, acknowledge that it's harmful, and then affirm to yourself: “I refuse to harm myself; I am strong and healthy” and “I will not damage myself because I am developing self-respect, breaking free from addiction. I cherish and honor myself”. With some practice and determination, you can improve your situation.
Repeat to yourself each day:
Quote: “I am committed to remaining free of addictions. My life is filled with an abundance of excitement and joy. My life is naturally coming into balance now that I am addiction free. The longer I remain free of addiction the happier and healthier I become”.
You can also try this exercise:
Observe what initially caused you to feel negative emotions or triggered a response on an emotional or physical level. Then, pay attention to your reaction. What is your response?
Could you consider responding differently next time? Make a deliberate choice in how you react to that situation.
Continue practicing, continue learning, and continue engaging in your inner work through breathing and meditation techniques.
